Fethiye
Fethiye has a bustling, atmospheric harbour as well as myriad of interesting backstreets with excellent shops and restaurants. The promenade is also lined with bars and restaurants, and the harbour hosts scores of privately owned boats including Turkish ‘gulets’ (wooden sailing boats). There is the opportunity to set out to sea with many boats offering sailing trips in the summer.
Fethiye boasts many historical sites such as an amphitheatre, lycian tombs carved in to the rock face and the sarcophagus in the old part of town.
The Fethiye area covers the more seasonal resorts such as Calis, Ovacik, Hisaronu and Olu Deniz. The trip from Fethiye to Calis takes 10-15 minutes by mini bus. Calis has a shingle beach and a refreshing breeze throughout the summer months which make it the ideal place for relaxation.

The surrounding high mountain views and pine clad forests create a fabulous setting.
Olu Deniz (3km from Hisaronu, 12km from Fethiye) has an atmosphere of laid back sophistication. The promenade leads down to the beach with its beachfront restaurants and bars. The scenery is spectacular with surrounding mountains and forests and the superb beach whcih stretches around the bay. There is also a fabulous lagoon area which is a national park.
