Upmarket south-west London homes 'selling fast'

More than two-thirds of the first phase of Queen Mary's Place, an upmarket development in the SW15 area of London, has been sold.

Built around the Grade I-listed Roehampton House, the development has been something of a hit with property investors and owner-occupiers, according to St James Homes.

Queen Mary's Place will eventually consist of 447 new and refurbished luxury homes, including 177 apartments and 135 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.

Niki Turner, sales and marketing director at St James Homes, said: "Queen Mary's Place is a truly magnificent scheme providing much needed luxury homes in SW15.

"Opportunities to buy into a development on the grounds of a Grade I listed building are very rare, so when Queen Mary's Place launched, properties were in great demand."

She went on to say that 25 homes were sold in one weekend and urged prospective investors and owner-occupiers to act fast before the remaining homes are sold.

The homes overlook Roehampton House, built between 1710 and 1712, complete with a pool, formal gardens and seating area.
